Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida, Inc.

April 8, 2024

It's with a heavy heart that I find myself sitting here dictating this.

My wife and I have been dedicated to rescuing Siberian Huskies going on 30 years now. I have been the Webmaster for Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida for over twenty years. Over the course of this time my wife and I have adopted fourteen Siberian Huskies. Twelve of them have crossed the rainbow bridge and we still have two.

Our organization has become less than functional at this stage. While there are many reasons why this has happened; the COVID pandemic could be blamed to some extent, in other cases it has become too difficult to find volunteers who are willing to work without any pay or recognition whatsoever all for the benefit of this magnificent breed of dogs.

The website needs to be completely overhauled and we have been unable to find someone to modernize the site and a volunteer to take over as webmaster.

At this juncture since we are not taking in any dogs and we're having trouble finding foster homes I am going to temporarily shut down the website for any and all activity. Hopefully we will be able to reorganize and come back stronger than ever.

It has been an unbelievably satisfying 30 years rescuing these dogs. They have brought immense joy and love to my wife and me. We are wholeheartedly dedicated to this wonderful breed and will miss working with the Husky rescue in the future.
