Skye was turned in to a shelter by her owner who had suffered a stroke and was no longer able to care for her. Thankfully, she was not in the shelter for too long before SHRF was able to take her in.
Skye is an absolute sweetheart and does well around children. She also gets along with other dogs. We have been informed that Skye lived with a cat for several months so she may be cat friendly, but caution is still advised.
She is an escape artist in that she will bolt out the door if given the opportunity. She is also a "problem solver" who seems to know how to open certain types of gates.
Skye is a very nervous passenger in the car; she will whine and become quite vocal. Once she gets to where she is going she will calm down. She could use some work when walking on lead, as she will tug and pull in the direction she wants to go.
Skye enjoys playing with her toys, entertaining herself by squeaking them and flinging them up in the air. She gets very attached to her humans and loves lying at her foster dad's feet.
Skye is Heartworm negative, healthy, housebroken, up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. Let her get back to the life she once enjoyed; fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
