Comments: I was just visiting due to reading the article in the Tampa Tribune about the rescue and its president, Ginger Kaszer, sharing time with 3 Huskies and 1 Golden.
I found it interesting looking at how similar problems produce the need for rescue in different breeds. A Golden person, I have my own experience with a neighbor who has taken in a Husky. Of course, this Husky has other ideas about his new containment. Poor thing, he is definitely not getting the kind of exercise and life that is required. I may have to drop a copy of the article off in her mailbox . . . anonymously, of course!

"Hint" take your husky to the beauty parlor, they can get rid alot of that unwanted hair, Jack just loves all the fuss when he goes.
Have done some fostering, and would like to do more, however we also have a little dog Max and being Military in housing we are unable to take in anymore. Comments: Husky owner almost 12 years. Alaska is the "Grand Dame" of the house and is a gray/white female. She will be 12 in July 2003. I'm conviced she was Greta Garbo ("I VONT to be ALONE!") in a previous life. Unfortunately old age is catching up with her, diminished sight, gets "stuck" in corners and has an arthritic spine. She is very stoic and, with medication is doing pretty well. She looks back on her fun days of riding in my sidecar. She has participated in several motorcycling events and has been interviewed on Bike Week on ESPN. She never barks, only sings.
Denali is my 3 year old red & white. He has taken over Alaska's position as co-rider in the sidecar and has been seen on Bike Week on Speedvision. He can be seen participating in some of the 50cc motorcycle events featured at: twowheelsonly.com and in the May 2003 Rider Magazine. Denali is a talker, but has a deep "alarm bark", but he really is a wuss.
Both love to travel.
The siberian was the ONLY logical choice after working with wolves. No other breed captures the intelligence, gentleness with people, and beauty of the wolf in an animal perfectly suited to domestic life.
Your site is very informative and shows the understanding and love for this exceptional breed.

Comments: I have had sibs for the last 23 years. They are smart and demanding. If you are interested in being owned by one of these wonderful beings, let it be known that they do need exercise and they do need to be part of your family. ( AS all fur babies should)The 2 that own us now also live with 4 cats,they moved into a home with cats and they get along quite well. It breaks my heart when I read ad's in the paper for sibs that are 6 month old, or whatever, beause they are not understood. Ours do not have to be leashed at all times. Have traveled with us from FL to CA to ME. They greet the students at the bus stop in front of our house and we live in an urban area. They are extremely smart and emotional animals and if treated as such will reward you with years of unconditional love. PE

Comments: Nischka was born on January 12, 1994 and has been our baby since he was eight weeks old. He has a little arthritis now and has slowed some -- but he is still a 10 year old puppy at heart.
I have been surfin your site and everything I read about Huskys fits Nischka to a T - everything except going in the water. He likes to wade but hates the swimming pool.
He loves his walks and we try to do 1 1/2 miles every day - very early during the summer.
Nischka is a house dog and loves people. He would much rather be around humans than other dogs.
Your website is great!! Now I'm going to check out the rest of it.

She was only with us for 1 year and is still missed very much. I go online to checkout the website often. I wish more people would adopt. I also wish I had more room, I'd adopt more.

Comments: We adopted our first Husky not too long ago. I wish we had done it sooner! Everyone was so helpful making sure that we were matched with the right dog. Having 3 children it was important that we found the right one. Sean is wonderfull and we can't imagine life without him.

Comments: I was just reiewing the guest book and came a cross
my first sign in Aug. 2003. In August 2004, I had to say Good by to one of my
babies. I wasn't sure if my 10 year old would be okay with another sibe coming
into our home. I decided to foster and signed up. Well the first foster never
left! Chili was an 8 month old ball of energy and still is, but when you haven't
had a puppy for 10 years, you forget. It has been six months since Chili has
joined our "pack" and we love her.(even our cats now give her kisses) I have
also helped with home inspections and helped transport other sibes in search
of forever homes. It was strange when I came across my first guest sign-in and
it was almost one year to the day before I had to let my second sibe in 25 years
cross over the Rainbow Bridge. Thank all of you for loving and taking the time
to understand these very special fur babies! PE

Comments: My wife and I recently lost our second Rottie. We
decided to adopt from a Rottie rescue center. We were a bit out of the rescue
centers area but passed all the qualifications.The last issue was a home inspection.
The rescue group contacted local County animal control and others here in Pasco
and received very nasty no's. Your organization was wonderful and the only one
willing to step up to the plate and help us out. If you do half as good a job
with your own group as you do helping others like us I can not say enough good.
The young lady that did our inspection was wonderful. I want to thank Melissa
and your organization as a whole for your help. Our heartfelt thanks.
