Vixan is a beautiful, sweet, young adult Husky girl who appears to have never been shown any kindness or love and affection. She was abandoned at a shelter where they had to cut off a chain from around her neck. She is very nervous and the staff and volunteers at the shelter have taken wonderful care of her and have been working with her during the time that she spent there. Knowing that Vixan needed a special home they reached out to SHRF.
This girl gets along with other dogs mostly because she tends to ignore them and is reluctant to go near any dog that she feels could be showing aggressive behavior or vocals towards her. She flinches away from human touch if it's near her face. Vixan appears to have never been socialized with humans or other dogs but is gradually receptive to both.
Vixan is great at riding in the car, but be careful of any leash used to secure her as she has been known to chew through them. However, she enjoys going for walks and does walk well on lead. She also appears to enjoy getting brushed and even doesn't mind getting a bath.
She would do best in a home with an experienced, patient owner where the home is not too noisy or active allowing her to acclimate herself and settle down as she discovers that there are humans that are loving and caring.
Vixan is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. Give this girl the chance to learn what it’s like to be a real Husky in a loving, forever home. She has a lot of pent up loyalty for the right family. Fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
