Mako is a sweet, young, beautifully colored Husky boy who was not well taken care of by his original owners and was picked up by animal control prior to coming to SHRF. He has a small notch on the tip of his left ear due to a past encounter with some other animal but it does not detract from his good looks; actually, it kind of gives him some character. Now, Mako is looking for the home he deserves.
This boy is a great dog and very smart. He knows sit, stay, come, and NO. He plays very well. He knows “down” and “up” and he likes to play fetch and just run for the fun of it. Mako has a lot of personality!
He is a darling and he wants to be liked. This gentle soul greets you at the door with a Husky smile. He likes his food and is not picky. Mako will take treats gently from your hand. He likes the cool tile or just resting beside you. He is a happy dog who likes company and playing with other dogs. He does not care for cats, so caution in that regard is advised. He is friendly and enjoys getting attention from humans, especially belly rubs.
Mako is low Heartworm positive and is being treated with the "slow kill" method. SHRF will provide his adopter with instructions on this treatment method as well as supply the Heartworm medication. He is otherwise healthy, housebroken, up-to-date on shots, neutered, and microchipped.
