Through absolutely no fault of his own, this wonderful boy, Damani , has been returned to us by his loving parents. They have a new child that is allergic to him, and their other dogs, so the parents are desperately searching for new loving homes for their Huskies.
Damani is a very laid-back, mellow Husky boy. With his beautiful, fluffy white coat, he is like a big teddy bear. He is very affectionate with all the humans he meets - adults and children alike. Getting rubbed on any part of his body is a favorite pastime. Although Damani enjoys attention, he is very independent and will find a favorite spot in the house to relax by himself. He absolutely loves his walks and is great on lead, but is also content just hanging around the pool or watching TV with his humans.
Damani gets along great with his foster sisters, but has really not exhibited much interest in playing with them. This may come with time as he is becoming more animated and interested in them as he settles into his foster home. He has not been tested with cats but lived in a home with birds.
Damani is somewhat overweight, which we hope to remedy by increasing his exercise and watching his diet. He doesn't seem to be a big eater but his quiet nature and slow metabolism may cause him to easily gain weight. He will need continuous exercise, long walks, trips to the dog park or a large fenced yard where he can run around and stay in proper shape.
There is no need to crate Damani as he has shown himself to be totally trustworthy in the house. He has a crate available that he uses as a quiet place to escape the other dogs and/or people in the house. The door is left open, however, so he can come and go as he pleases.
Damani has been a loving and loyal companion and would make a wonderful addition to any family. He is Heartworm negative, neutered, housebroken, microchipped and up-to-date on all his shots. Someone is going to substantially change their life for the better when they add this extraordinary boy to their family, why not let it be you?
