ADOPTION PENDING 5/12/2013

Dog Name: Nanuq
Number: 519
Age: 2 - 3 Years (DoB 11/2010 est.) Sex: Male
Coat: Isabella White
Eyes: Blue

Nanuq is a young and handsome Isabella White, blue-eyed boy. He has a super sweet and loving personality, constantly giving kisses and nuzzles. He prefers his human friends to his dog friends and yearns for one on one attention. His prey drive is typical Husky, so he needs a little work to control his chasing of squirrels, birds and please use caution around cats.

Although Nanuq was found as a stray he is being well cared by his foster who takes him for long runs and walks, which he seems to enjoy.

His foster is working on commands and crate training. Nanuq is a good listener and follows directions well. He already knows the "sit" command and takes treats gently from your hand. He wants to please and love on his humans!

He does well on a leash but sometimes requires correction and re-direction when a stray squirrel or small dog crosses his path. He is a sweet young boy with a lot of energy but once he has had his walk or play, he also loves to just chill out and curl up near his foster. He’s a beautiful loving boy who also does great around kids.

Nanuq is healthy, Heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his shots. Youths this well mannered, loyal, and affectionate do not come along every day. If you get to meet him, he will find his way into your heart immediately. He is impossible not to love! Let him show you - fill out an adoption application at the upper left side of this page, today.
