Naomi is a young, slender, very sweet little soul. When she first came to us she was extremely timid. When you tried to pet her, she would crouch low to the ground with her tail tucked between her legs. After a few days of love and encouragement, her confidence has grown a great deal. She now trots around the house and around the neighborhood with her head up high and her tail wagging.
She is a typical Husky pup, very playful. She really loves a tug rope, bouncy toys and playing with other dogs. Not only does she enjoy playing tug-of-war, but she also amuses herself by tossing and chasing it. Naomi enjoys the tug toys and will play with her foster brother or her humans ...she's not picky. She probably would play with the cats if they were interested!
Naomi acts like a typical puppy. Anything that is within her reach, ranging from shoes, remote controls, Wii controllers, newspapers, etc, could be a potential chew toy. It is important to keep a bone or toy nearby to distract her from your items. Her foster brother also helps entertain her. She uses her small size to her advantage and attacks his feet.
Naomi appears to be cat friendly. At times, though, she can get a little too excited so it is important to maintain a watchful eye.
Naomi enjoys going for walks with her family and foster brother. She likes to walk right beside him and will occasionally lick his face. When on walks she likes to chase lizards. She doesn't pull too much, but tends to zigzag a little.
She is very easy to handle and amazingly responsive to commands for her young age. Although she doesn't have any real training, she will come when called and drop items from her mouth when told to. It seems as though it will be easy to train her. House-training is still a work in progress, but she has already shown great improvement.
