ADOPTION PENDING 8/31/2012

Dogs Name: Torlina
Number: 495
Age: 3 ˝ Years (DoB 2/2009) Sex: Female
Coat: Red and White
Eyes: Blue

How’s this for having your own patriotic Siberian Husky – red and white with blue eyes. Torlina is a breathtaking girl. Her blue eyes sparkle and her slightly large ears snap to and fro like radar dishes picking up incoming aircraft.

She is a loveable young adult that, though happy to meet you, is a little shy at first. Within mere seconds you have a new best friend who wants all the attention she can get. She is very friendly and playful with other dogs and people, seeming to prefer men, but also good with women and kids. Her foster parents have three children, ages 3 to 11, and Torlina loves them all.

Like most Huskies, Torlina gets along with other dogs but has the typical Husky prey drive when she sees lizards and squirrels. In a trip to PetsMart she showed no interest in any of the cats but we would still urge caution in that area. Torlina is always ready to go for a ride in the car or a long walk and loves to play outside.

Torlina is good in the house as long as someone is home but has indicated some separation anxiety when her fosters leave her alone. In spite of this, her fosters feel she is better off if they leave her out of the crate. She gets excited when they come home, gives them a big greeting (kind of like saying thanks for not being gone too long) then goes and lies down. Once she learns her humans can be trusted to always come back, she will calm down and show her true Husky affection.

She doesn’t jump on people and is somewhat obedient, knowing to come when called and understanding basic commands. Torlina follows her humans around, preferring to be close to them, including sleeping in their bedroom. She is not a counter surfer and does not get on the furniture. She does, however, like to stay close to the dinner table, hoping for some of that delicious human food.

She is healthy, spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots. Since Torlina never had a forever home through her puppyhood, why not give her the one she deserves now? Fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
